Programme for local children and their families
2010-2011
Autumn to Christmas
The Minister and Kirk Session of Greenside remain committed to working with local children and their families in the church. It is our hope that Greenside would be much more than a place of suitable worship and enjoyable activities. It should also be where children can feel comfortable and safe, and where they belong to a special and wider ‘family’ of God’s people.
In the face of a changing culture and values, Greenside has in the last few years developed a programme of monthly 9.30 – 10 am Sunday services for children, held in the ‘children’s chapel’ in the church, and based on the widely acclaimed ‘Godly Play’ material. Children are thus introduced to worship, and begin to learn some of the Bible stories, and hear of the person and work of Jesus Christ.
In addition there are extra events and activities at Christmas and Easter.
We intend to continue this programme, and invite you to note the dates in your diary, and to come along. You will be most welcome!
Confirmation of, and any alteration to, the programme will be communicated regularly by email, or by post. Details will also be on the website.

Sunday 7th November, 9.30 – 10 am, children’s service
Sunday 5th December, 9.30 – 10 am, children’s service
Saturday 18th December, 3 – 5 pm, Christmas party in church halls
Friday 24th December, Christmas Eve, 5 – 5.30 pm, Christingle service
Saturday 25th December, Christmas Day, 11 am short family service, children to bring favourite toy
All services are held in the church.
